I am becoming more and more obsessed with searching the depths of flickr.com for something special. This morning I was thinking about that old adage: "f/8 and be there." So I did a quick search and low and behold, 91,000 results!

It's search results like these that I feel warrant a special place on the Internet. So, I made a page. Check out the new search on my "Flickr Searches" section

Also, on a more technical note, I have turned on commenting for these searches. So comment away!

IMG_1234 and Cory Arcangel

IMG_1234 is a short project I made a couple weeks ago. Posted on the site here for your viewing pleasure. I am continually excited by "short" projects. Recently I became a fan of Cory Arcangel's piece depicted below.

I find this sort of "one mouse click" art is pretty interesting. I also really like how Cory titled the piece. Following his title I was able to replicate the work in PShop with minimal effort. Of course my version would be titled "CS4."

Photoshop CS: 110 by 72 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Spectrum", mousedown y=1098 x=1749.9, mouse up y=0 x=4160 (2008)

De-Installation Clip

This is just a quick clip from a while back when I had to move the three hundred pound Brick Server from its gallery space back to the studio center at MICA. Thankfully I had a few friends to help with the heavy lifting! Big thanks go out to Patrick, Josh and Kelly!

The pile of bricks you see being moved in this clip are actually the case for a computer server which houses an archive of images. I will have more to say about all of this and a special project page set up on this site here in the near future with photos and an artist's statement, but for now, just enjoy the clip. I especially like the very end when Patrick realizes he may have gotten a hernia!

Video clip was shot with my Panasonic LX3
