Believe it or not, but I'm actually blogging over the free Wifi on the BoltBus. The connection is decent, although this return trip doesn't have power outlets. I know I haven't blogged here in a while, but I have been really busy, running around like a chicken trying to find its head.

iPhone 3GS In The House!

Yesterday I picked up a brand spanking new iPhone 3GS. Kendra and I made our way down to the Apple store in Soho where we spent all of 10 minutes standing in line. Before I knew it my original non-3g phone was converted into an iPod Touch and my new baby way taking calls and receiving emails.

So far there is just this one, but I made a special page for them over here.

With the recent announcement of the new iPhone 3GS I am really curious to see how this whole video blogging trend takes off. Will we see video-tweets? I haven't seen much in the way of video samples from the iPhone as of yet, but I hear it's pretty nice. I know, not 720p HD, but still, it's a phone!

Traveling Light

I was recently reading a forum post on the Panasonic DMC-LX3 Flickr group about traveling light, and what type of camera to bring with you if going on a backpacking trip across Europe. The topic got me thinking back to 2002 when I myself backpacked across Europe toting a good deal of camera equipment, computer gear and enough clothing to last me a few months on the road. I am becoming more and more obsessed with searching the depths of flickr.com for something special. This morning I was thinking about that old adage: "f/8 and be there." So I did a quick search and low and behold, 91,000 results!

IMG_1234 is a short project I made a couple weeks ago. Posted on the site here for your viewing pleasure. I am continually excited by "short" projects. Recently I became a fan of Cory Arcangel's piece depicted below.

I find this sort of "one mouse click" art is pretty interesting. I also really like how Cory titled the piece. Following his title I was able to replicate the work in PShop with minimal effort. Of course my version would be titled "CS4."
