The Samaritans follow the Bible letter by letter. During Passover they dig large holes in the ground and create smoking pits which they use to cook fresh lamb. Every bit is used. It's a sort of rite of passage for young boys to be involved in the slaughter.

One man told me this: just watch, every year it's the same.. at the moment of the slaughter it will begin to rain, like God crying over the sacrifice.
