Generating video from still images with Amazon Nova Reel
I suspect I'll be posting a lot of these in the weeks ahead as it's fascinating to me what you can do with the new Nova Reel and Canvas models.
In a previous post, I generated an image using Nova Canvas and then used that as a reference image to create a video clip with Nova Reel. In this post, I am using a photo I took years ago to "bring it to life" with Nova Reel.
It's not bad. In my prompt (which I accidentally deleted) I asked Nova something along the lines of, "bring the photo to life, make the people on the beach appear to be walking and the waves crashing on the shore."
The people (my wife and son) do appear to be walking, but a little wobbly, but the waves crashing on the shore look really good. It's kind of like an Apple Photos "Live Photo."
It's really pretty good!
